Annual Report 2009

THE TASK
Conception, design, composition and production support of Air Berlin Plc's 2009 Annual Report.

THE CHALLENGE
Raising the profile of the airline as an attractive investment and conveying the strategic USP of Air Berlin compared to other airlines.

THE SOLUTION
»The fittest will survive!« – Charles Darwin's law doesn't just apply in nature; it also applies in the hotly-contested international aviation market. By optimally adapting to the needs of the market with a unique concept, Air Berlin has positioned itself as an internationally successful airline in the niche between established and no-frills airlines.

The 2009 Annual Report follows in the footsteps of Charles Darwin to reveal the secrets of the success of Germany's second largest airline, and shows how Air Berlin has managed to improve its operating profit even in the middle of the worst crisis ever experienced by the aviation industry. The design combines the charm of old-fashioned nature-study engravings with contemporary illustrations from the world of Air Berlin and the individual info-graphics characteristic of the company.
