Stuttgart State Opera: Europe’s most attractive printing materials
A jury of international experts is of the opinion that the programmes for the Stuttgart State Opera were the best printed products published in Europe last year.
Every year, the Art Directors Club Europe only reviews work which has already been awarded silver or gold from among thousands of entries to national ADC competitions. 48 jurors representing ADC*E member states from Russia to Iceland then select the best again. Jurors from a candidate’s country are automatically excluded from the discussion and voting process. Only one gold medal is awarded for each category.
In the area of books, publishing items, magazines and brochures, the Stuttgart programmes easily asserted themselves against la Fanciulla del West, Jenufa, Hyperion and Péléas et Mélisande. Jury Chairman Mário Mandacaru, Lisbon: “The concept and design of the programmes with maximum overall demands, incredible attention to detail and clearly distinguishable serial character despite individual features sets trends in graphic design which have an effect throughout Europe. A huge compliment goes to Strichpunkt and the Stuttgart State Opera.”
