Ruhrtriennale


THE TASK
Image for one of the largest German-language culture festivals.

THE CHALLENGE
Appropriate depiction of the artistic conflict between art and religion.

THE SOLUTION
Strichpunkt developed an emblem for the Ruhrtriennale which depicts a slimline R (for Ruhr) and a 3 (for Triennale). Using handwritten, typographical and photographic elements, the flexible, continuously evolving corporate design achieves both references to the basic spiritual-artistic concept of the director Willy Decker and to the unique venues – old industrial buildings in the Ruhr region.
