THE CHALLENGE
Financial communication at BASF focuses on sustainable corporate action. Special challenge: Group-wide co-ordination of reports by around 60 international subsidiaries.
THE SOLUTION
Within the framework of re-concepting the BASF reports, Strichpunkt realised the first integrated financial and sustainability report among DAX30 companies in 2007 as well as a newly-developed medium for private shareholders. In 2009, this concept enabled BASF to occupy first place with the best German sustainability report in the IÖW (Institut für ökologische Wirtschaftsforschung) ranking. The 2008 report revealed how BASF achieves values with a future – for the company and society alike. BASF Compact supplements the report in the form of extensive articles and serves as a high-quality information and image medium for the general public. These articles are also published in numerous international reports and on the Internet.
