well:fair: Neven Subotic

How did you become what you are?

Neven Subotic was a professional footballer and refugee, Jürgen Klopp's favorite player and one of the big names at German champions Borussia Dortmund.

Much more interesting, however, is what the player is doing with his name: Neven Subotic is using his popularity to raise millions for building wells in East Africa. Not on the side, but exactly as he always did as a central defender: with full commitment. And just as he did as a professional, the 36-year-old is also enjoying enormous success in his new life. His well:fair foundation already provides more than 300,000 people in Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania with access to clean water and hygiene. If you would like to support him, you can find the link to the donation account directly in our show notes.

At least as extraordinary as Neven's new project is the path that brought the former central defender to the position of full-time development worker. In this episode, we talk to Neven Subotic about the value of a personal brand and how to maintain and use it. We also discuss the true clichés of the soccer profile life, Jürgen Klopp's move to Red Bull and the question of how to find meaning in a life that others think is perfect.

Let's talk!

Wherever you are, wherever you are headed - it’s time to get started.
Say hi!
