DHL Group works with AI application from Strichpunkt

The design and branding agency uses artificial intelligence to develop customized tools for efficient and agency-independent brand management for companies. A layout creator was implemented for the DHL Group that enables employees to design layouts independently.

The design and branding agency Strichpunkt has made a decisive contribution to increasing efficiency in brand management for the DHL Group: By using the AI-based Layout Creator developed by Strichpunkt, employees of the global logistics group (220 countries, more than 550,000 employees) have been able to design more than 40,000 layouts since the Layout Creator was launched six years ago, which were created automatically, individually and in line with the corporate design.

“Layout Creator has revolutionized brand management for us by enabling a completely new, flexible and fast approach,” explains Sebastian Klein, Senior Manager DHL Brand Management. “With the support of an innovative tool and the expertise of a design agency, we are now able to consistently prepare our large number of internal brand products for all communication channels while acting flexibly and cost-effectively.” The Layout Creator currently has 2,000 hits per week at DHL Group with around 300,000 users per year.

Thanks to the Layout Creator, DHL employees are able to design layouts even without design expertise. All they have to do is fill the Layout Creator with information, such as the headline and copy text. Up to 10¹⁵ different layout variants can be created, from which the best one can be selected and then changed manually. In addition, several documents for a campaign, such as posters or social media assets, can be created at the same time.

Individual brand management solutions thanks to AI technology
In addition to its design and branding expertise, Strichpunkt focuses on the technology-supported transformation of brand communication and uses artificial intelligence to develop holistic solutions for companies. By using such tools, brand products can be played out individually and yet in a controlled and reliable manner thanks to defined metrics. In addition to the high efficiency gain, this ensures a consistent brand presence.
