Corporate Website

The TUI Group is one of the most successful tourism companies in the world, employing approximately 66,000 people worldwide and, together with its subsidiaries, providing countless happy vacation moments for more than 28 million guests every year.

We were commissioned to develop the TUI Group's communicatively and technically outdated corporate website into a reliable and accessible digital platform.

The Challenge

The previous TUI Group website was more than 10 years old and had continued to grow over the years, meaning that it was not only outdated in terms of design, but also very difficult to navigate.

In addition, the underlying technical setup was complicated and maintenance-intensive. Our task was to apply the Group's existing new corporate design to the new website and develop it further. In the process, the entire structure was to be revised and simplified. Through extensive storytelling, livestreams, and a newsroom, all possible stakeholders of the Group receive quick and comprehensive information. The Investor Relations section in particular was to remain one of the key areas of the websiten.

The objective was to make the website more emotional in line with the “Live happy” claim, increase accessibility and user-friendliness, and make maintenance and upkeep easier with a new technical setup.

Design Update

The TUI Group introduced a new corporate design two years ago. Until now, however, it has only been used in a rudimentary and inconsistent manner on TUI websites. We have further developed the brand design for the UI area, created a comprehensive library of components and modules, and implemented the first website for the TUI Group that has been completely redesigned in line with the new corporate identity.

Investor Relations & Newsroom

Since the website is an important information hub, especially for investors and the press, it was vital to structurally revamp this area and adapt it to the needs of this targeted group. We worked with the client to develop a new architecture, clearly organized events including livestreams, financial releases, and press releases, and migrated thousands of assets from the existing website to the new one. The current TUI stock price was also integrated into the website, and events can be subscribed to with a single click

386% Increase in Total Views

Within the first month, the website we created recorded a 386% increase in total views and a 45% increase in visitors. Compared to the old website, the average time spent on the site increased ninefold to several minutes, partly due to the introduction of several live events.

According to the client, it will also be used as a best practice for other websites within the group.
