Generational change at Strichpunkt

Kirsten Dietz & Jochen Rädeker founded Strichpunkt in 1996 and will now switch to the agency's advisory board with effect from 01.01.2024 after almost 28 years in management. They will continue to support our management as challengers and advisors. In addition, both will remain shareholders in the MYTY Group.

Since they founded the company in 1996, Kirsten and Jochen have built Strichpunkt into one of Germany's leading branding agencies with a lot of passion, great people and a diverse client portfolio. With the initial focus on financial and CSR communication, new design standards were set and Strichpunkt quickly developed into one of the leading providers in this field. The high standards of creativity and implementation were not only rewarded with mandates from large corporations such as Daimler, Metro and the Otto Group, but also with countless design awards. A milestone: in 2008, Strichpunkt was voted the first Red Dot Agency of the Year. In addition to specializing in financial and sustainability communication, Strichpunkt has also been able to continuously expand its business as a branding agency. With award-winning work such as for the Staatstheater Stuttgart or the Scheufelen paper factory, a growing team and ever larger brand strategy and corporate design budgets, the agency was increasingly able to convince large corporations and global clients. In addition to the brand relaunch for Vorwerk, the branding mandates for brands such as Audi, EnBW and DHL are among the hero cases in the agency's history and are representative of the agency's development. With their own brand Type Hype, Kirsten and Jochen also fulfilled their dream of having their own design brand.

"We are very proud to have built up such a strong agency brand and established it on the market. We were never interested in creating a cult of personality around the founders, but rather a design agency with a clear attitude, a strong team and high quality standards. It's a great feeling to see that we have created a platform for over 140 Strichpunkt employees," says Kirsten Dietz, summarizing her move to the Advisory Board. Prof. Jochen Rädeker adds: "This generational change was planned for a long time together with Philipp Brune and the management, and we believe that the timing couldn't be better. Many founders fail exactly at this challenge. It's incredible what has happened over the last 28 years and it's great to be able to continue to be active on the Advisory Board."

Such a step requires courage and consistency, or simply: the future belongs to the brave!
