After having joined the Otto Group on "The Way ahead" in the past years, in this year’s report we invited visionaries from business and research to engage in discussion.
Together, we have investigated why strict hierarchies are becoming obsolete and what it means to focus on customer needs for the group’s daily business. We asked what kind of tools are needed to promote this cultural change and how robots and artificial intelligence will fundamentally change our practices.
Whether it’s the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the innovation metropolis of Copenhagen or the international airport of Zurich - for the discussions we visited places that are symbols of transformation. This is reflected in a powerful typography, which, as a symbol of dialogue, is being used extensively and playfully. Broad imageries and unusual perspectives provide insight into a range of topics.
