The Technical University of Nuremberg (UTN) is the first new state university to be founded in Germany in 40 years. The university aims to stand for its interdisciplinary teaching concept, an international orientation and for digitalization. In order to do justice to this innovative teaching and campus concept, a visual identity is required that radiates outwards as a vision even before the spirit is felt on the real and digital campus.

Always beta - a design that grows with UTN

In the 21st century, the communicative appearance of a modern university must be thought digitally. The brand slogan "Where Nuremberg meets Technology" highlights UTN's basic attitude, which combines tradition and innovation, and stands as an overarching paradigm at the center of communication. In the challenging field of tension between setting the foundation and the vision of the future, we rely on a design that sends clear signals to the present - and simultaneously creates space for further development and continuous transformation.

Distinctive in the university environment

A digital, eye-catching luminous green as a distinctive feature shows the UTN brand boldly and uniquely across all media. A strong typographic word mark and an open, flexible design system create a stable yet flexible foundation for the branding of an institution in the making.
