Since “Die Sendung mit der Maus” was first broadcast in 1971, the WDR has continuously expanded the range of TheMaus. An ever-increasing number of offers characterizes the perception of the brand - in over 100 countries. The character continues to be a cult among young and old.
We have holistically thought out and designed cross-media design principles for analog and digital applications. The result is a smart modular system for multimedia applications, adaptable to countless content formats. The brand architecture and brand symbolism were also holistically revised, an individual and characteristic font was developed and TheMaus was established as a strong umbrella brand.
The new brand appearance combines modernity with the proven and unites the many different facets and offers of the brand.
